Apply Marseille soap

Once you put the garment in the laundry basket, we will take care of it as soon as possible without letting the stains age. We take the shirt and pass on the traces of dirt on the collar and wrists a touch of dry Marseille soap that dissolves the fatty component of the stain. If the signs are very evident, you can also use a stain-dissolving product, but it is good to first test the resistance of the fabric colors in a hidden corner. On white fabrics, the operation is easier.

Apply the brush

Once the soap or the stains have been dissolved, the collar and cuffs must be rubbed firmly and dryly. In some cases, a light laundry brush can be used to remove the unsightly dark line from the fibers. Care must be taken not to press too hard to prevent the fibers from giving way and the fabric from tearing. Immediately after, the parts are rubbed with hot water, repeating the operation until each trace disappears. If the dirt remains it will be good to leave the shirt lathered for a few minutes before moving on to the final rinse, allowing the soap to act. With a little patience everything comes off easily and the blouse regains cleanliness. The washing of the shirt can be completed quickly by hand or in the washing machine.

Apply water and ammonia

In some cases, a valid help can also come from the use of a few drops of ammonia combined with water. The mixture must be rubbed on the dirt that quickly tends to disappear due to the degreasing properties of the compound. A subsequent and abundant rinse will complete the wash. Remember never to iron clothes that are not perfectly clean with a hot iron: the particles of grease and dirt would end up being fixed by the heat on the fabric, making subsequent cleaning more difficult.

Apply dishwashing detergent

If the collar and cuffs are colored and dirty with make-up, apply a little dishwashing detergent and rub with a leather cloth. Add some water and rub lightly to create some foam. Next, wash the garment in a normal way. If the stain is still very evident, leave the collar and cuffs to soak in the soapy water for half an hour.

Apply active oxygen

Apply a little stain remover powder containing active oxygen on the dirty areas and mix with a little water. Lightly rub the cuffs and collar and leave the solution to act for about 15 minutes. After the necessary time, wash the garment in the washing machine.

Apply water and baking soda

Prepare a paste composed of water and baking soda and apply it on the dirty area, rubbing lightly with a clean cloth. Leave the mixture to rest for about ten minutes, then put the shirt in the washing machine and carry out normal washing.

Apply the talc

Once the washing is finished, iron the inside of the collar and cuffs by applying talcum powder. It is a remedy that is used before wearing the shirt because it allows talc to absorb the fat that our body secretes, preventing the fabric from getting dirty.

Change your shirt frequently, dirt will be easier to remove.
