How To Combine Makeup With Purple Dresses?

What are the tricks to combine with dresses in different shades of purple?

Very ancient, but always current, elegant, but also very pop: purple, in particular Ultra Violet, is the most glamorous color of the year.

If the shade of your purple dress is quite intense, I suggest you go for simple and chic makeup, with a luminous base and a line of eyeliner to enhance the look.

Those who prefer to leave their eyes natural can bet everything on the lips by choosing a brightly colored lipstick.

Smokey eyes look great on any occasion, both in the softer versions and in the shimmer and intense ones.

The tone-on-tone makeup, much loved by celebrities, is always a certainty for those who want to create bold and trendy make-up.

The feature that I love most of the purple color , declined in all its nuances, is its versatility. In fact, I find it a “passe-partout color”, perfect to be worn both in the warmer months and in autumn and winter. It also looks great on girls with light or red hair, and on brunettes, not to mention how it manages to make green eyes stand out. So in today’s post, I thought I’d tell you about how to combine makeup with purple dresses,  from the simplest and most chic make-up to the most intense and trendy. Are you curious? So off with the post!

PURPLE, THE MOST LOVED COLOR BY ROYALS AND ARTISTS

Perhaps not everyone knows that purple is a very ancient color that made its first appearance in prehistoric art. However, it is best known for being the color of the nobles, thanks to the high cost of pigments and the difficulty of finding them. It is to all intents and purposes the first synthetic dye that changed both the chemical and fashion industries.

PURPLE ALSO HAS A STRONGLY SYMBOLIC VALUE

In addition to royalty, purple is much loved by the stars of yesterday and today. All the great talents of the past, from Prince to David Bowie passing through Jimi Hendrix, wore it with ease: it is no coincidence for many that this color is a symbol of counterculture, individualism, and great artistic expressiveness.

A BRIGHT BASE IS IDEAL FOR AN ELEGANT BUT NATURAL EFFECT

If you have chosen to wear a purple dress with a very bright shade or perhaps penetrating and intense, my advice is to focus on natural but refined makeup.

The base should always be very accurate, but even more so for the makeup of this kind. If you have to attend a special occasion, you can apply a face primer before the foundation, in order to even out the complexion and make the makeup last longer. But be careful not to abuse the primer, better use it only occasionally.

To get a glowing complexion, I like to apply a little liquid or cream highlighter all over my face before using foundation and concealer. In fact, I find that the final effect is very natural and not at all artificial. I recommend that you always let the product dry well before proceeding with the base.

THE EYE-LINER DEFINES THE LOOK AND MAKES IT MAGNETIC

Girls who prefer nude makeup can complement their makeup by simply applying a light, natural-colored eyeshadow, mascara, and a touch of blush.

On the other hand, those who love eyeliner,  and have good dexterity to apply it, can choose to create a more or less marked line to define the look and make it sexy and chic.

Makeup with a natural base and eye-liner is among my favorites because they are perfect for many different occasions, both day and night. On the lips, you can choose to apply simple lip balm, or a gloss, or lipstick with nude or peach tones, depending on your tastes and your complexion.
