When it comes to eating disorders, every organ in the body can be affected, which is why people who are struggling with an eating disorder need to seek professional help as soon as possible. It has been proven that the earlier an individual seeks treatment for an eating disorder, the more likely he or she will be to recover physically and emotionally. It is also important for people to be aware of ways they can support those living with an eating disorder. Having an eating disorder can have a severe impact on your cardiovascular health, most notably anorexia nervosa, which is one of the most harmful disorders for the heart. In the absence of enough calories, the body will be forced to break down its own muscles and tissue in order to obtain fuel. As far as the heart is concerned, it is the most important muscle in the body. There is an increase in the risk of heart failure when there is not enough fuel to keep it going or when it starts to break down.

You can suffer severe deficiencies in your body as a result of dehydration and malnutrition if you restrict your diet or eliminate essential nutrients from your diet. In most cases, dehydration occurs as a result of your body not receiving enough fluids so that it can function properly. This can result in kidney failure, seizures, fatigue, constipation, muscle cramps and even death. There are a number of health problems that can result from malnutrition, such as a weak immune system and an array of health problems, such as anemia, which have been proven to occur when your body doesn’t get enough nutrients and proteins.
